For the Love of Sci-Fi

Countdown to the Museum of Science Fiction

The Museum of Science Fiction, slated to open in Washington, D.C., promises to be “one of the most fascinating and immersive museums on the planet.” As Executive Director Dr. Greg Viggiano explains:

Imagine walking through a Stargate to a destination that houses the most awe-inspiring and thought-provoking artifacts from the best imaginations in science fiction. Refuel a full-size X-Wing Starfighter or open a time portal with your smartphone. These are just some of the ideas we hope to bring to life.

We’re planning everything now: sights, sounds, new ways to interact with exhibits. Want to arm a 2-meter photon torpedo? You’ll be able to do that with a wireless device at the Museum of Science Fiction. Our planners are visionaries. They aspire to create a high-tech, futuristic physical museum that engages its visitors and ignites the imagination. Science fiction is the perfect genre for doing just that. The history of science fiction lets you step into the future by looking into the past.

We’re looking forward to the opening of this visionary museum. To stay updated, follow MOSF on Twitter or Facebook.
